Suhr Select Classic JM Guitar, Roasted Neck, Sonic Blue

The Select Classic JM Roasted Neck guitars are a special collaboration between Humbucker Music and Suhr and is available in very limited numbers.

This run has only subtle differences from the Classic JM production models. Essentially, it's a Classic JM with a Roasted Maple neck and Abalone Dot upgrades available in custom colors (as well as stock colors). While there's certainly nothing wrong with standard maple, roasted maple is known to be more stable and lighter in weight, providing more sustain to your notes. It also has a visually darker aesthetic to it giving a more aged look. In addition, we've substitutes the stock Gotoh 510 tremolo with the Wilkinson WVS130-2 Post.

This Classic JM features dual S90 single coil pickups wound specifically to reproduce vintage P90 tones.

Another great feature is the unique contoured cutaway and heel on the Classic JM, allowing easier access to the upper register. For optimum tone and stability, the neck joint must not be too tight or too loose, therefore all of Suhr's neck pockets are precisely fitted by hand, by expert craftsmen.

Like all Suhr guitars, the frets are expertly leveled and hand dressed for superior playability. The improved headstock design enhances tuning stability, eliminating the need for a string tree.

The combination of Alder bodies and Roasted Maple with Indian Rosewood fingerboard necks, combined with the superior Suhr pickups give these instruments that classic tone expected from a JM styled guitar, fitting nicely in every genre from country to rock.
