CARR SUPER BEE AMPLIFIERS
The Carr Super Bee was inspired by classic Black Face Super Reverb tones, but Carr wanted to achieve this at a lower wattage. This quest led them to the 6BM8 preamp/power tube. Never never heard of 6BM8 tubes in a guitar amp? No worries! Neither had we until now.6BM8 tubes are essentially a 12AT7 triode and a low wattage plate dissipation pentode in one package. The output is dynamic while retaining transparency. As you may know, with lower wattage amps this can be difficult to achieve. Pairing this with an EZ81 tube rectifier gives you a lively bounce while enhancing the amplifiers emotional buzz.
