The Mesa Boogie California Tweed 23 cab is a medium-width, rear-loaded extension cabinet offering the ultimate balance of generous low end fullness and punch with sweet, open back clarity and brilliance.
Cabinets with a single 12" speaker offer that elusive "openness" - tone that sings from the cone of the speaker (compared to 2x12s which have a little more emphasis on punch and projection). Similar to MESA's classic WideBody 1x12 in size and weight but with more attractive styling, the Cali-Tweed 23 represents the perfect blend of size, weight, portability, great looks and TONE!
ALL MESA CABINETS are made using the finest Void-free, Marine Grade Baltic Birch. Super strong rabbet corners are glued and nailed and speaker baffles are fitted with superior dado joint construction and braced. Grilles are wrapped around a separate grille board, not the baffle board.
