Nash T57 Guitar, Black, Lollartron
- DESCRIPTION
The Nash T-57 guitar is a Vintage Tele model from Nash Guitars. Bill Nash designed the T-57 to create a guitar that isn't extremely expensive, yet still captures that great look, feel, and playability of a well played and loved 1957 Fender Telecaster.
Not only does the T-57 look and feel like a vintage Tele, it also features a number of popular modern appointments, such as Lollar handwound pickups and Gotoh Vintage tuning keys.
If anyone knows about building vintage guitars, it's Bill Nash! He has worked with a HUGE number of them for many years and has a great deal of knowledge about how a vintage guitar looks and feels. The aged control knobs, pickguards, dinged and scratched finish, and aged hardware make the guitar look old, but the modern techniques used to make the guitar ensure that it plays like a brand new instrument. Each Nash T-57 is built by hand, so each one is completely unique. It features a maple fingerboard, Swamp Ash body, and Jason Lollar hand-wound pickups. It also features a traditional bridge with compensated brass saddles.
Weight: 7 lbs. 6 oz.
Serial #: HBM-132
About the Lollar Pickups in this guitar:
The Lollartron Humbucker (neck): Putting a new twist on an old favorite, the LollarTron is a humbucker-sized pickup that channels the sound of a vintage FilterTron. A2 magnets, custom covers, lots of attitude!
Starting with a '60s Country Gentleman as a benchmark, Lollar went after the classic rock-a-billy 'bucker tone, adding some Lollar "secret sauce" along the way. The neck pickup is warm and buttery, with a clear, present top end offering sparkle and spank with clarity and punch.
The Lollar Special T (bridge) is a higher output version of the Vintage T Series Bridge with a rounder top end, a little more midrange, and more bottom end. Roll the tone control back a bit and get a somewhat convincing P-90/vintage humbucker tone. Flat pole design with graded Alnico 5 magnets. Vintage style cloth covered lead wire. Wax potted.
Neck: 4.4k
Bridge: 8.0k
