The Tungsten Oxnard 12 combo amp is very much like a vintage Fender Tweed Deluxe 5E3 (or the Tungsten Cortez), but with a gradual taper volume control and a different spec output transformer.  It's a great pedal amp at half volume, with wild 5E3 at full volume.

The Oxnard has the same controls as the Crema Wheat & Cortez, a single Tone knob, with Bright and Normal Volume controls, and four inputs. It's very much like the 5E3, but with a gradual taper volume control. Crank this amp up, and open up the tone control for full bodied vintage overdrive. It ships standard with a 12" Scumback J75 and Mercury Magnetics transformers. It also includes a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes and 5Y3 rectifier, and because this amp is cathode biased, swapping power tubes is just a matter of plugging them in.

Adam loaded this one with Sozo blue molded capacitors and used a 5751 in V1 for just a touch more gain than the 12AY7 while still remaining pedal friendly.

There are two channels, NORMAL and BRIGHT, and each has a low and high input.  The BRIGHT channel give you a bit more highs, as well as a touch more low end.

So, how exactly is this amp different from a Tungsten Cortez?  Well, other than the gradual tapered volume, it uses a custom Mercury Magnetics output transformer that Adam custom spec'd with a bit more iron giving the Oxnard more headroom and less compression.  It doesn't saturate as much as the Cortez when it overdrives giving it more definition and dynamic range.  It also uses the Scumback J75 as opposed to the Weber T12Q alnico used in the Cortez.
