This third-generation model refines the pioneering single channel/dual mode configuration developed over nearly five years, marking the final evolution before the introduction of the MARK III, which expanded to three modes. It remains a definitive piece for players seeking classic Mesa Boogie tone and engineering excellence.

The Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ features a streamlined single-row control layout shared between its two preamp modes: Rhythm (clean) and Lead (overdrive). Each mode benefits from independent yet interactive gain and volume controls, allowing precise optimization of their respective gain structures. Shared Tone controls provide broad voicing adjustments, while PULL SHIFT functions—some mode-specific—enable nuanced sound shaping. Additionally, the built-in 5-Band Graphic EQ offers wide “Q” settings around each center frequency, delivering surprisingly precise and musical tonal sculpting to perfect your sound with ease.

The Rear Panel of the Mark IIC+ retains essential features that maintain its relevance four decades after debut. Centralized global PRESENCE and REVERB controls allow quick access from the Front during live performances. A buffered, series Effects Loop ensures seamless integration with time-based effects. The Power Select switch offers a choice between full 75-watt “SIMUL-CLASS” mode for maximum headroom and tonal depth, or 25-watt “CLASS A” mode for reduced power with smoother, softer power clipping at lower volumes. Multiple speaker outputs—one at 8 Ohms and two at 4 Ohms—provide flexible cabinet matching. Additionally, a SLAVE output taps the speaker outputs to deliver a full amp signal—including preamp and power stages—ideal for IR capture or external processing, though it’s not a compensated Direct Output for consoles or interfaces.
