This American Exotic DC-Multi has an impressive Redwood top on an American Black Walnut body. This guitar features a unique body design created by Jason Armstrong, and has a multi-scale Macassar Ebony fretboard on a Walnut neck.

A Multi-scale instrument features a different scale length for each individual string. AEG multiscales utilize a subtle 25"-26" spread. The result is a much more comfortable and ergonomic playing experience, more accurate intonation, and increased string tension (read: TONE) for the low strings; which is especially useful for alternate/drop tunings without the excess string buzz and floppy bass strings often associated with standard scale instruments

The oil finish used by Jason is a unique blend of linseed and other natural oils. It resists water damage and will not cloud, yellow, or crack with age.

For the pickups, Jason and Rob Timmons at Arcane Inc. came up with custom spec. 13k humbuckers featuring alnico 8 for the bridge and alnico 5 for the neck. Alnico 8 is almost as strong as ceramic but because it has steel in the magnet it is sweeter sounding than ceramic but still hot.
