DESCRIPTION

This 1961 Les Paul SG Standard Reissue with Bigsby is a meticulous tribute to Gibson’s "transitional" era. Part of the Nashville Custom Shop’s Limited Edition Collection, it blends historical accuracy with subtle modern refinements for collectors and players alike.

The solid mahogany body features the iconic, lightweight SG silhouette finished in Cherry Red VOS nitrocellulose lacquer. For vintage expressive capability, it’s equipped with a Bigsby B5 vibrato and an ABR-1 bridge with period-correct nylon saddles for smooth tuning and classic tone.

The mahogany neck uses a long tenon join for superior sustain and an Authentic 1961 Thin D profile for a fast, comfortable feel. Its bound rosewood fretboard is outfitted with 22 medium jumbo frets, aged celluloid trapezoid inlays, and a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo on the headstock.

For authentic "Golden Era" sound, it features unpotted Custombucker Alnico 3 pickups with Zebra bobbins and True Historic covers. The electronics include CTS potentiometers, a Switchcraft toggle, and Black Top Hat knobs with silver inserts. Shipped in a reissue hardshell case, this guitar captures the spirit and sonic power of the original 1961 "Les Paul SG.
