The Carol-Ann HS-2 was created to be an extremely flexible dual channel amp for lower volume gigs.  It fits quite nicely in small clubs, recording studios, or just playing around the house.

All HS-2 models can now run 6L6, EL34, or KT77 power tubes with no re-biasing.  This ups the power to about 25W and changes the voicing a little.

While the HS2 may not incorporate all the features and volume of the other higher wattage models, they are constructed using the same no-compromise approach with the highest quality components available.  Alan also sought to hit a price point below $2000 for one of his heads, and he did so with the HS-2.  You owe it to yourself to check one out soon before he comes to his senses.  Seriously...  We're not kidding.

One major positive aspect of this lower power design is the ability to push Channel A harder to obtain crunchy OD tones that are some of the most difficult type of tones to achieve in any design. This channel morphs from smooth clean to heavy depending on the master volume level and/or the guitar volume control.  Channel B provides the core overdriven tone of the OD2R/OD2 models.

The Carol-Ann HS-2 features the same tube buffered efx loop as the higher powered amps.
