rec.audio.pro FAQ

rec.audio.pro

If you're a beginner and want to learn to record like a pro, or even if you're a studio owner and youthink  you know everything, I have a newsgroup you should become involved in.   I frequent rec.audio.pro on a reqular basis and am overwhelmed by the quality of information that can be found there.   Wether you're interested in mic techniques, compression tips, or media format selection, the pros that post there are able to help out.  Let me say this, however:  It is a necessity that you read the F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) before posting in this newsgroup.   Most "newbie" questions are already answered in the FAQ.   Also, even if something isn't in the FAQ, you should do a search to see if the question you have has been asked in the past several months.  The way to do that is to search by topic at Google Groups.  I have included links to the these sites mentioned below.

You may also choose to use your own newsgroup reader to browse rec.audio.pro.  This is actually the preferred method.  If you do not have a newsreader, you can choose from several great ones at THIS LOCATION
