The Nash TK-54 is modeled after Keith Richards' famous butterscotch blonde "Micawber" stage tele, but of course with Nash's own unique style and quality. The Micawber was rumored to be given to Keith Richards by Eric Clapton as a gift for his 27th birthday and is probably the most notable and famous of all Keith Richards' guitars.

One of first things you will notice after picking up this guitar is how comfortable the neck shape feels. This guitar has an all maple Boat Shape neck that has a thick V cut towards the headstock and a smooth transition to a rounded and more flat radius towards the body, making it very comfortable from the first fret to the last.

The body is made from swamp ash and is incredibly resonant, which makes sense because this guitar weighs in at around 6 and a half pounds!

One of the most notable features of this guitar is the Lollar Imperial humbucker at the neck that really gives this guitar a wide range of tone. This pickup coupled with the Lollar Tele style single coil at the bridge gives this guitar the capability to go from classic tele blues to heavy rock and everywhere in between.

About the Lollar Pickups in this guitar:

The Lollar Imperial (neck) captures the airy top end, tight lows, balanced midrange, and complex overtones of the best original PAF pickup. In reviews it is consistently given high marks for its balanced frequency response. Unbalanced coils keep the bottom end tight for the amount of fullness the pickup has, overtones build after each note is played. Alnico 2 magnets are de-gaussed to specific levels, unique to the neck positions.

The Lollar Special T (bridge) is a higher output version of the Vintage T Series Bridge with a rounder top end, a little more midrange, and more bottom end.  Roll the tone control back a bit and get a somewhat convincing P-90/vintage humbucker tone. Flat pole design with graded Alnico 5 magnets. Vintage style cloth covered lead wire. Wax potted.
