The Suhr Modern T 24 Satin Pro is in stock now!

You asked for it, and Suhr delivered!  Once known as the Classic T 24, the Modern T is becoming a very popular model in the higher end custom Suhr lineup, and now they're bringing it to a more affordable level. Does that mean compromise in tone, playability, or quality.  Absolutely not!  So maybe these won't have fancy burl or flamed maple tops.  But the exact same construction and setup goes into making these as the $10,000 models.

This model features a thin, transparent satin finish which displays the natural beauty of the Okoume body. This thin layer of satin finish also allows the neck and body to resonate freely, producing warm, lively tones that project loud and clear. These choice tonewoods work in harmony with Suhr's top-shelf pickups to produce a wide array of tones.

Construction: The Suhr Modern T Satin is absolutely designed to be a high-end tone machine without all the fancy adornments (such as inlays, gloss, fancy tops, etc) that can take away from the tone of the instrument.  With its balanced asymmetrical body, 24 fret elliptical neck profile, and innovative neck heel, it provides unparalleled feel and comfort while delivering phenomenal tone.

Pickups:  The combination of SSV and SSH+ pickups offer vintage warmth in the neck position, high output punch with fat harmonics in the bridge position.

Don't let the price fool you, the Pro Series is still built to the same quality standards you would expect from Suhr, only we just do them in larger runs to save you a serious chunk of change. These are made with the same woods, components, hands, and processes (including the PLEK machine) that make the custom Suhr guitars.

With Custom Suhr Guitars: Each Suhr Custom guitar is built precisely to the customer's specs. Special woods, special inlays, neck shapes, fret sizes, colors, electronics, you name it. That whole process is a lengthy one and requires lots of special attention along the way to insure a custom Suhr is *EXACTLY* as the customer specified. IN addition, the machines that cut cut the necks, bodies, etc have to be reprogrammed for each guitar. The paint shop has to change everything up for each individual guitar. You get the picture.

With Pro Series Suhr Guitars: The specs are all set and fixed for the entire run. Same body/neck woods, electronics, neck shapes, fret sizes, etc. We get together with Suhr and select the most common specs that customers request for a specific model, change up the colors a bit for variation, and do a run of 50+ at a time. But here's where the story gets more interesting... With the pro series, *EVERY* step of the Pro Series build process is exactly like the Custom build process. The same pickups, hardware, woods, etc are used for the Pro series. The same PLEK machines are used on the Pro Series. The same guys that do the setups and final finishing on the Customs are the guys who do it on the Pros.

So what does that mean? It means if a build spec for a Pro Series guitar matches what you're wanting, then you'd be crazy not to get the Pro. :) It's the same guitar. Period. Honestly, it's a steal, and we think people should take advantage before Suhr comes it it's senses and does away with the Pro Series. They already had a major price increase recently on the Pros, which came *after* we scheduled our special runs, so we're still able to offer them at the old price. After they're gone, you can expect to see a price increase of $500+ per Pro Series guitar. No joke... Get them while you can at these prices.
